Murder. Mind control. A missing chocolate bird.
Welcome to a world where noir gets twisted, secrets melt under stage lights, and nothing is quite what it seems—not even the evidence.
When grizzled detective Mick Slater is hired to recover a sacred, 600-year-old chocolate pigeon (yes, chocolate), he’s thrust into a surreal cityscape of trench-coated mobsters, psychic street beggars, snarky secretaries, and one wildly unhinged mad scientist who’s literally pulling the strings. Add in a ghost partner, a femme fatale with eyes like daggers, and a pigeon-shaped artifact that may or may not be cursed… and you’ve got a mystery that spirals faster than a jazz solo in a back-alley speakeasy.
Written and directed by Surfside’s own Bryan Bergeron with music and lyrics by Kim Dickman, this Surfside Original blends slapstick, wordplay, and sight gags into a noir-meets-nonsense romp. With 34 local cast members spanning multiple generations, it’s a true community creation — and the kind of show you’ll still be talking about on the ride home.
