BRYAN BERGERON

Artistic Director

Bryan is starting his fourth season as Surfside’s full time Artistic Director, but this is not his first time to play this role for the playhouse. He also served as director from 1989 to 1999. Bryan has quite a diverse background in the entertainment industry. His career includes production management, festival management and concert production including too many artists to list here. From 2000 to 2008, he owned Looking Glass Entertainment where he toured 50 shows throughout Florida. This adventure was sadly cut short by the recession in 2008. With 230 shows under his belt, Bryan is very happy to have returned here to Surfside Playhouse where there are friendly people, a community mindset and clean ocean air. Who could ask for more?

SARA FIEBERG

Media Manager

After a 14-year hiatus away from Brevard County, Sara is back after her time in Massachusetts.  Before she left Florida and became a stay-at-home mom of two, she got her Masters degree in Communications and worked for Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Public Relations. She also volunteered her time with community theaters in many different roles on stage and off; including Public Relations rep and Artistic Director of Melbourne Civic Theatre.  Once in Massachusetts, Sara quickly became acquainted with The Cannon Theatre in Littleton, MA and once again volunteered her time as Media Manager and even served as President of the board. When her oldest was of school age, Sara volunteered her time/skills with the PTA in many roles including President. She also served as the Producer of the 3rd/4th grade musical for 3 years. Not only did she volunteer her time, but she was also a dance teacher for 10 years at Spotlight Dance Academy.

Sara is currently office manager of Arctic Rays LLC in Satellite Beach and resides in Indialantic with her husband, two kiddos and their dog.

Sara is honored to be the new Media Manager of Surfside Playhouse. She looks forward to working with the board and Artistic Director and using her knowledge and passion for communication, organization and performing arts to her new role.

ALISON SHUGARS

House Manager

Alison has had an interest in theater since childhood.  Twenty years ago, she went from spectator to participant by being thrown into her first role on stage with Playwrights Workshop.  Since then, she has acted, danced and sung in several plays and musicals as well as stage-managed many plays at Surfside. She has also written and directed several one-act plays.  Although Alison has acted and stage-managed on various stages in Brevard, her primary focus has been Surfside Playhouse.  She and her husband have been regular volunteers at Surfside, in many capacities, when not acting.

As the office manager for Oviedo Hearing Center for the last 10 years, Alison has handled the tasks of hearing aid maintenance, insurance claim submissions, and generally keeping the office organized and running smoothly.  She is happy to be bringing her skills to the role of house manager for Surfside Playhouse!

JEANNE PRICHARD

Box Office Manager

Jeanne has been on the board at Surfside for about fifteen years. During that time, she has had the privilege of serving on many committees; everything from the nominating committee to the volunteer committee.  Her primary focus has always been the box office which she has managed since she first became a board member and currently still manages.  She loves the box office because of the very close contact it allows her to have with the wonderful Surfside patrons. Jeanne’s last job in the private sector before retiring to Cocoa Beach was as a senior analyst with WebMd.
