Surfside Youth Players

Started in 1979, the Surfside Youth Players offers classes and experience for younger performers. Each summer the Youth Players puts on a showcase performance.

We will be double casting this show to allow for more room in our program! Each cast will rehearse on a separate day with the exception of tech week. Each performer will be guaranteed 2 performance opportunities! 

AUDITIONS: Wednesday, January 7 at 4:30pm

CALLBACKS: Thursday, January 8 at 4:30pm

AGES: 7-18

TUITION: $325

REHEARSALS: January 14 – March 26 | Wednesdays or Thursdays 4:30-6:30

TECH WEEK: March 30-April 9| Monday-Thursday 4:30-6:30

(Wednesday Cast April 1 and 2 as well as April 6 and 7)

(Thursday Cast March 30 and 31 as well as April 8 and 9)

*Everyone must be available for all days of their casts designated tech week*

SHOWS: Friday, April 10 at 7pm, Saturday, April 11 at 1pm and 5pm & Sunday, April 12 at 2pm

Call time is GENERALLY 1.5 hours prior to showtime. You will be notified if there is a change. All performers will get to perform in 2 shows.

Step inside Willy Wonka’s magical chocolate factory in this fast-moving, colorful musical based on Roald Dahl’s beloved story. Featuring songs from the classic 1971 film plus fun new additions, Willy Wonka Jr. is packed with imagination, humor, and larger-than-life characters.

The story follows five children who win golden tickets to tour Wonka’s mysterious factory. Along the way, lessons are learned, rules are tested, and one kindhearted kid—Charlie Bucket—proves that character matters more than candy.

This show offers great roles, ensemble moments, and performance opportunities for a wide range of young actors, making it a joyful, confidence-building experience for performers of all levels.

(Second/Subsequent Student Option only available to additional students of the same household when one student has already registered for the same semester; Junior Counselor Option only available with prior application and approval)

Signature below validates agreement to participate in the program and I will not make any liability claims against Surfside Players, Inc, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Permission is granted to Surfside Players, Inc. to photograph and use photographs of my child on its website and in printed publications and collateral and/or submit to print them in electronic media for the purpose of publicity without further consideration. As representatives of Surfside Youth Players, participants agree to conduct themselves professionally at all times according to the educational program guidelines, or forfeit participation without refund.

I understand that this registration form is only made valid by acceptance into the program from Program Director. I also understand that my student can be dismissed without refund for failure to follow the rules and guidelines of the program.
